Q150 Open Day

 On August 30th, from 0900 to 1600, the Historical Village & Museum at Scarness held an Open Day. 
Entry was FREE courtesy of a Q150 Grant.

Demonstrations held during the day included Blacksmith, Woodturning, Corn Shelling, Rope making,
Log Sawing, Cane Machinery,  Spinning & Weaving, Butter Making.
Whip Cracking, Wood carving, Tractor rides and Draught Horse sled events . 
Tea, Coffee and soft drinks were available as well as a Sausage Sizzle and Damper. 
Almost 1000 visitors attended the event.

 Mock Wedding was held in our 1909 Church at 11am and the bride wore her Great Grandmothers wedding dress from 1911.
"MOJO" entertained everyone from the Goodwood Station stage during the day.

 Antique Cars & Motor Cycles were also on view courtesy of the Fraser Coast Historic Vehicle Club
and the Historic Motor Cycle Club (Fraser Coast)
